Assignment: Students will research the country assigned to their class team and provide the following information to the class.
1. Where in the world is the country located? What continent?
2. Give us a brief history of the country from its inception.
3. What information can you find from an almanac:
a. What type of currency is used?
b. What is the population?
c. What type of government?
d. What are their imports/exports?
e. Give us a history of their flag.
4. How did that country do in the most recent World Cup tournament?
- List team statistics and final standings
5. Report five interesting facts or trivia about the country.
6. Make a flag of that country that can be staked on your field during the class tournament.
7. Design and make a goalie shirt for your team.
The shirt should be depictive and representative of of the country.
** Extra Credit**
Design and make shirts for your entire team that represents the country, and is appropriate for school and physical education. Shirts are to be in the country's colors and to be worn every day.

Soccer Performance Project

You and your team will be responsible for presenting one of the listed soccer skills to the class. You will need to teach and demonstrate that skill to the class. Your team will need to write a lesson plan that describes how to perform the specific skill and include two common errors and two practice drills. Your team will use that lesson plan to teach the drill to the class. As a follow up to your lesson your team will write a one page summary of how the days lesson went.
Point breakdown:
20 points - Presentation of a fundamental soccer skill.

How is used or executed? Explain to us.
Give us a demonstration.
15 points - Written
A written lesson plan that includes how to do the skill, common errors and two drills to improve the skill. Use visual aids if you choose to do so.
15 points - Drill one
Explain the drill to the class, set the class up and have them practice the drill.
15 points - Drill two
Explain the drill to the class, set the class up and have them practice the drill.
10 points - Summary
Summarize how the lesson went. What went well? What could you have done better? What would you change? What did you like or dislike about the project?
